To my parents, as they allowed me to learn and love nature.
Without their support this would not have been possible.
I was born in Milano, Italy in 1965, where I live. My love and interest for nature and wildlife dates back to when I was a child. Thanks to the support of my parents, which have dedicated this site in particular my father died in 2007, I started travelling in 1990, with particular interest forwards nature and culture of places I visited.
I started seriously photographing in 2004. I'm only amateur photographer, but I'm growing up with the help, practical and theorical, of great masters of nature photography such as Manuel Presti, over all, my unconscious mentor, Ansel Adams, Art Wolfe, Arthur Morris and Yann Arthus-
I adopted, as many nature photographers , the labeling system of the famous nature photographer Fritz Polking. It's very simple and clear:
[1] A document of Nature, not modified and not manipulated: in this case, the shooting was carried out without interference by the photographer, shows nature as it is.
[2] Wild and controlled: in this case, the subject is wild (not in captivity) but the photographer caught the scene, for example, from entering natural roosts, feed, or modifying in some other way.
[3] In captivity: it is used for subject who are not wild or free (e.g. zoo)
[4] Edityng: used for digital manipulation techniques, such as multiple exposures or photomontages.
